For our second collaboration with Two Feathers productions we headed to the legendary Skid Row, helping to bring director Mark Hilton’s vision for Little Shop of Horrors to life.
We produced a variety of static and animated artworks that were included on a digital video wall integrated into a cutout in a brick wall in the scenery. Through this we presented various Skid Row signage, Orin’s horrid dental practice, and Audrey’s fully-animated dreams of Homes and Gardens Magazine for ‘Somewhere That’s Green’ done as self-drawing doodles timed to the beats of the iconic number.
We also created the artwork for a portrait display placed down-stage right which acted as an ever-evolving newspaper stand throughout the show. For this we were challenged to create a version of the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ where the text could turn into blood and melt off the screen - something to stir the audience as the lights go down as the show begins.
